Retiring Trustees are Recognized

Partners for Health Board Chair Doug Bauer recognized three retiring Trustees at the Foundation’s December 2022 Board meeting.

Robert L. Erickson, MD joined the Foundation Board in mid-2014. “Doctor Bob” originally engaged with Partners for Health as a volunteer who was interested in researching local health data and trends. During his eight years as a Trustee, Bob was an active member of the Grants and Golf Committees. He’s also a wine connoisseur with an expansive collected of vintage port wines, two of which he donated to 2022 Golf Silent Auction. Bob retired from his practice as a Montclair-based gastroenterologist in 2001.He once shared that Dr. Anthony Fauci was a first-year resident when Bob was an intern New York Hospital. He said Dr. Fauci was, “Supportive and good to work with!”

Joel Jeffrey, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Stifel Financial Corp, served as a Trustee from 2015 through 2022. Joel was a leading voice on the Finance Committee, providing oversight on the investment returns and ensuring the portfolio doesn’t have outsized risk. He served as Board Treasurer for three years (2020-2022), and was on the Task Force that studied the sale of the Medical Office Building property.

Calvin O. Trevenen was elected to the Foundation Board in mid-2015. He is currently Of Counsel to Montclair Real Estate Law, and to Spiro, Harrison & Nelson. Prior to this, he was the Managing Partner of Ashenfelter, Trembulak, McDonough, Golia & Trevenen for more than 30 years. Cal served on the Foundation’s Grants and Nominating Committees, and he was Board Secretary in 2019 and 2020. He also chaired the Task Force that worked for two years to consider the sale of the Medical Office Building property.
