Congratulations to newly elected Partners for Health Board Officers: Casey Castañeda and Ammar Idelbi will serve as Board Co-Chairs; Abdur R. Yasin as First Vice Chair; Jenny Peck as Second Vice Chair and Secretary; and Steve Reid as Treasurer.

Casey Castañeda, MPA, is a Senior Consultant at Ceiba Advisory, a boutique consulting practice that assists families and individuals on issues related to long-term philanthropic legacy, governance, multi-generation engagement, and grantmaking. In this role, she serves as the Operations & Program Director of a New England-based family foundation, where she oversees day-to-day operations and grantmaking activities in partnership with the foundation’s Trustees. Casey earned an MPA from Baruch College, City University of New York, and a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She also serves on the Leadership Council of the Support Center for Nonprofit Management. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Casey resides in Bloomfield with her husband and their children.

Ammar Idelbi, MBA, MPH has been with Johnson & Johnson’s Technology Quality & Compliance group since 2018. He currently holds the role of Lead of Quality Management Systems Governance. Ammar is responsible for day-to-day governance of the Technology Quality Management System (QMS). He supports quality systems oversight to the QMS elements for Technology, and identifies & leads process improvements as needed. He collaborates with Process Leads to lead the day-to-day support required for the generation and publishing of metrics for Monthly Metrics Review and Management Review. He earned an MBA and MPH from Rutgers University. Ammar and his wife live in Clifton.

Abdur R. Yasin, MPA is a Fire Captain in the Township of West Orange. He is a former department Training Officer, a Pro Board-Certified Level 2 Fire Instructor, Certified Fire Officer 1, NJ Certified Incident Management Level 3, and a NJ Certified Fire Official. Since becoming a Firefighter in 2002, he has involved himself extensively in public sector labor relations by serving in several capacities, including executive, across all levels of government for the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (NJFMBA), the largest firefighter union in New Jersey. Abdur is a Cohort Advisor for the State of NJ Certified Public Manager® Program (CPM) at the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark. Abdur is also a part-time lecturer and teaches courses in the graduate and undergraduate programs at SPAA. In addition, he is a doctoral candidate at Rutgers SPAA, where he is studying human resource management as it relates to public personnel management, collective bargaining, civil service, politics, and state and local government management. He earned a BA in History with honors from Rutgers-Newark in 2003. In 2014, he graduated from the Rutgers-Newark School of Public Affairs and Administration with an MPA Degree. Abdur resides with his wife and family in West Orange.

Jenny Peck has dedicated much of her professional life to public health initiatives, working on various projects aimed at improving health outcomes in underserved communities. She is currently the Director of Development for SHOFCO, which helps communities in Kenya tackle the challenges posed by increasing urbanization. Jenny lived in Tanzania, East Africa from 2006 – 2018, serving for the first two of these years as an Education Volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps. She subsequently served as the U.S. Program and Operations Manager for Global Health Corps; Managing Director for Mufindi Orphans: Director of Community Health for Mufindi Orphans; and Deputy Director of Development for Amref Health Africa in the USA. Jenny earned a BS Degree in Mathematics from the University of Kansas. She and her husband reside in Clifton with their children.

Steve Reid is the Chief Growth Officer for Charter School Business Management (CSBM) and FOREsight Financial Services for Good, where he leads growth strategy and long-term organizational direction. Under his leadership, CSBM and FOREsight have strengthened the financial operations of hundreds of non-profits and charter schools nationwide through their “do-it-for-you or teach-you-how” service model. Steve’s ability to align technology with mission-driven goals enables nonprofits to achieve operational efficiency, sustainable growth, and be fiscally secure. Steve holds a BA from Seton Hall University and a Master of Business Administration from Cambridge College. He was recognized in 2020 as one of Profiles in Diversity Journal’s “Black Leaders Worth Watching.” He lives in Montclair with his wife and 3 daughters.
