Casey B. Castañeda Elected to Serve as Second Vice Chair of the Board in 2025

When it met in December 2024, Partners for Health Trustees elected Casey B. Castañeda to serve as Second Vice Chair of the Board in 2025.

Casey is a Senior Consultant at Ceiba Advisory. She brings 20 years of experience in the philanthropy and nonprofit sectors to her advisory work focusing on effective program and infrastructure planning and implementation. In her role, she serves as the Operations & Program Director for a family foundation based in Massachusetts.

Prior to joining Ceiba Advisory, Casey was the Chief Operating Officer a national nonprofit organization working to address the negative effects of the food system in the U.S. As COO, she was the strategic and operational lead for human resources/staff culture, technology, finance, and remote and on-site operations. Before that, Casey spent over 15 years working closely with philanthropic families and decision-makers to support the strategic, grantmaking, administrative and operational needs of private foundations. Much of this time was spent as the team lead for the Private Foundation Services group at J.P. Morgan. Casey also has experience working within a family foundation and family office as a program officer and philanthropy advisor.

Casey earned an M.P.A. from Baruch College, City University of New York, and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees of the Partners for Health Foundation, Casey also serves on the Board of Directors of the Support Center for Nonprofit Management.

Casey is replacing Tekeyah Sears who completed her term on the Foundation Board  at the end of 2024.  Board Officers for 2025 also include: Sara Elnakib, PhD, MPH, RD, Chair; Paula Gutierrez, MHA, First Vice Chair; Michael P. Mazza, Treasurer; and Beverly M. Riddick, Secretary. These Officers were elected to serve in their respective positions for two years, 2024-2025, in December 2023.
